Metagenomics Project#

In the project work, you will be presented with data generated from two different metagenomics studies. You will use the skills and knowledge you gained in class to analyse the data sets and answer research questions.

General information#

The two projects described in further detail below are:

  1. The gut microbiome composition across age and geography

  2. Functionality of microbial communities in different ocean layers

Work on both projects using the link to R-Studio provided below. You can use any online resources to answer the questions. If you run into issues, you can rely on the #help-eachother and #help-official channels in Slack.

After completing the exercises from Metagenomics I, you should begin working on the projects. In the second half of the Metagenomics III exercise session, we will discuss the outcomes of the projects.
