Protein bioinformatics I

Protein bioinformatics I#

General information#

Main objective#

In the lecture we will discuss bioinformatics methods applied to the study of protein post-translational regulation. The lecture notes are provided in moodle. In the practical section you will learn how to perform co-regulation analysis of proteomics data.

Learning objectives#

  • You will understand the difference between protein interactions mediated by “linear-motifs” and those that are not.

  • You will know how to model the specificity of “linear-motif” binding domains based on training data.

  • You will understand how protein kinase activity can be estimated from phosphoproteomics data.

  • You understand how multi-omics data can be used to predict protein-protein interactions

  • You can use multi-omics data to predict protein-protein interactions.
